The National Biodiesel Board (NBB) has developed the first and only Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified biodiesel training curriculum for diesel technicians and mechanics in North America. The NBB’s Biodiesel for Diesel Technicians training program educates and informs technicians of the tremendous amount of in-depth factual technical information that has been amassed over the past 20 years on the performance of biodiesel blends in a variety of diesel engine technologies and use in the field. With this education, diesel technicians are able to better advise customers and other technicians about the true impacts of using biodiesel blends in diesel equipment as well as its beneficial impact on performance properties and other societal benefits.

The NBB’s curriculum is conveniently arranged into three power point training modules below:

1. Biodiesel 4 Diesel Technicians Session 1—Biodiesel Industry Overview and Benefits
2. Biodiesel 4 Diesel Technicians Session 2—Biodiesel Fuel Quality & BQ-9000
3. Biodiesel 4 Diesel Technicians Session 3—Biodiesel Engine Performance and Maintenance
